I am installing Fedora Core 1 on my Toshiba Satellite right now. I’m going with a “Workstation” default install. There really isn’t much to it. Just click the forward arrow a couple dozen times and then sit and wait.
I do use this great website as a reference for a few tricky things I “tweak” post-install. The guy that updates the site, Greg, is great. I bugged him a bunch when I installed RH8. And I bugged him a little more when I installed RH9. Hopefully, I can get Fedora installed without “buggin’ him”.
I really liked his review of the Lycoris Wal-mart PCs. Those looked pretty cool.
If you have a few minutes you should surf around his site. There is some interesting material there. He has this fish tank gadget I want. It sends all kinds of data on temperature and water levels.
