New USB Memory Stick…

I got a new toy at lunch. A new 256 MB USB memory stick. It’s the LEXAR JumpDrive Sport USB 2.0. Got it at Fry’s. Great deal. A 256 MB drive on sale + rebate for $24.99. It amazes how cheap these things are getting. I bought a 128 MB stick about a year and a half ago and it was like $50. You can’t buy 256 MB of pc ram for $25……

Anyhow, if you’re wondering what I’m gonna do with my new toy. Check my blog in a couple of days. One use is related to Knoppix and saving sessions.

I think I saw that same drive at Staples in my area, except they were also advertising a $45 (after rebates of course) “snap on” mp3 player that would play anything you had on the drive. 256meg mp3 player for less then $80, simply amazing.

That is a great deal. $80 for a 256 MB USB memory stick and a MP3 player. Now the fact that I have a lovely 20 GB iPod I’ll have to pass on the $40 MP3 add-on. 🙂
