Last night’s JavaMUG presentation on the Spring Framework was really good. As I said yesterday, our speaker was Craig Walls, the author of the soon-to-be-released Spring in Action. Unfortunately, we had some technical issues with our projector, and we had our yearly board elections, which cut Craig’s time a little short.
Craig, being short on time, covered a handful of slides from his No Fluff Just Stuff presentation and then went straight to his code examples. We like code examples better then slides anyways don’t we? Craig showed a nice demo app – a pizza order system and then a security demo.
I would give more details on Craig’s presentation but my friggin’ PowerBook crashed an hour ago and I lost my notes from last night along with everything else I was doing. DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!
Ending this post on a positive note, you can get chapter 1 from Spring in Action on the boos page on the Manning site.
