My New Yard Toy…

The crap overrunning our garage won the battle. I got Katie to sign off on me getting a shed for the backyard to free up some space in the garage.

I went with more of a “mini” shed. I was prepared to buy a big-ass 12′ x 12′ thing, but the evil homeowners association wouldn’t sign off on where I wanted to place it. So after hitting Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, and Lowes I settled on the Rubbermaid Slide-Lid Storage Shed. I ended up getting it from my local Lowes store.

Yesterday, my brother came over and helped Noah and I put it together. The box said “15 minute installation”. That was a load of sh!t. It took us an hour and 15 from start to finish. The 15 minute claim is a joke. It took that long to get it out of the two massive boxes it came in. Katie happened to snap some photos and I through them up on my flickr site. Check ’em out.

Never a good thing to see light in the first few photos and then darkness in the rest. I feel your pain.

    Ha Ha. You busted me….

Actually, I most confess that we started the project and then my wife called us in for dinner. So it wasn’t that long of a project.

I still don’t know how the box says “installs in 15 minutes.” We worked hard and it took well over an hour.

Observing that the last few pictures took place when it was dark out, it looks like it took a full day to put that thing together. 🙂 Unless of course you started the night before… LOL
