Yes, this blog is still active… 🙂
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Yeah, I’m late with this post, but I honestly hope everyone had a great holiday season. I sure did. It’s the reason I haven’t posted anything here in so long. From Friday 12/21/07 to Tuesday 1/1/08 I was for the most part offline. It’s a big benefit of my new job; the office was closed for the Christmas holidays.
We packed up the kids, and all our gifts, and headed down to Houston to make our “Grand Tour” of the family. We spent time at all the family’s houses. You think I’m kidding? Just for fun, I put it into Google Maps. It was roughly 705 miles! Most of that was just from house to house to house.
This was the trip:
- Allen to Spring
- Spring to the Woodlands
- the Woodlands to Spring
- Spring to Sugar Land
- Sugar Land to Beach City
- Beach City to Sugar Land
- Sugar Land to Spring
- Spring to Allen
Most people would think we’re crazy for doing all that driving, and packing and unpacking, but it was fun. We had a lot of food, drinks, football, drinks, football, and family time. Some highlights were Santa showing up at 3 different houses (literally at Julie and Chris’), and a trip to see the Battleship Texas (the Battleship will get it’s own post as it was a great time).
Santa was good to everybody. I think my favorite gift is a tie between the new Legend of Zelda DS game and a sweet set of Texas Aggie dominoes.
Did you have a good Christmas? Did you get anything good?
