Top 10 Movie List…

What if I answered Pete’s What if Movie List…. with a list of my own? Well, you’d have my Top 10 Movie list… Here it is, in no particular order.

Let me know what I’ve missed. And, no, this is not one of those stupid Blog meme list things. My friend Pete isn’t web/blog savy enough to do that. He just decided to write a post with his top 10 movies and I’ve answered his request to post mine.

    Casablanca
    Predator
    Dead Poet’s Society
    Shawshank Redemption
Star Wars – Empire Strikes Back
    Amadeus
    Ten Commandments

How do “Lonesome Dove” and “Tombstone” not make the top ten! Or surely “Pale Rider”…those three were sent to earth by God himself! 🙂

    Tim,
I’ll give you Indiana Jones and Saving Private Ryan. I hate to admit that I’ve never seen Blade Runner.

    Mark,
You have a nice three-in-a-row with DPS, SR, ESB. Empire is so close to Star Wars in my book. I might like it better, but without Star Wars there never could be an Empire… so I put Star Wars barely above Empire.

    Patrick,
Lonesome Dove is for very old, lame people. Tombstone could be number 11 on my list. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!

Never seen Bladerunner? Sorry, but I must revoke your geek merit badge.

I’m with Tim….no geek status for you is you’ve never seen Bladerunner. And when you do see it, please don’t watch the original release with the voice over that the big media co made the director add in afterwards. Watch the directors cut.

By the way Bladerunner and 2001 are in the same “must be ready ” to watch them category.

Plus what’s with the chick flicks?? singles?? Beautiful girls?? Until I saw your post I had never even heard of them. 😉

    Mark,

You’re gonna make me defend my personal choices on my own blog? Jeez! 🙂 Just kidding…. I’ll be glad to.

Singles: It’s like MTV from the Alternative-era. Live Peral Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains concert footage, as well as a kind of dating-comedy. Not really a chick flick.

Beautiful Girls: The name says it all! Kidding… It’s actually a very funny movie. Good music and good humor.

I’ll go further and say that the Singles Soundtrack is *easily* in my top-10 CDs list. The CD is AWESOME. But, that is a whole different post.

Single soundtrack was awesome. The film was a major suckfest. They should have all just OD’d on something in the first ten minutes to end their “angst” and saved me from watching that drivel for another hour.

    p.s. go get Bladerunner
